Figures of Motion - Kunst in Bewegung april 28th - may 1st

Video art and -installation at the Plueschow-Lounge, curated by André Werner

Figures of Motion - Kunst in Bewegung will focus on non-narrative works that continue the tradion of experimental films, direct films by artists like Len Lye, Oskar Fischinger or James Whitney.
Special screenings will feature highlights of experimental cinema, explore connections between contemporary video-art and early experimental cinema.and emphasize the role of fine arts in independent filmmaking.
A special screening on saturday will present documentaries of performances, noise-paintings and alike from artists of the former GDR. Several film documents will be shown for the first time ever.

Figures of Motion - Kunst in Bewegung is both, screenings and exhibition

• In addition to screenings – and as the name suggests – Plueschow-Lounge will be
a meetingpoint, a hideaway on the countryside and a place to lounge around with other friendly lizards.
